Barcelona is a city where you can reach almost every interesting place by walk. However, if you had an exciting day full of sightseeing, there is plenty of public transport options:

• Buses: Barcelona has an efficient net of bus lines. Usually, the buses are coming every few minutes, depending on the line. There are also night buses, marked with ‘N’ letter. The ticket prices start wih 2,20 for a single ticket. There are day tickets available (2 to 5 days). You can buy them for example on the subway stations.

• Taxi: Taxi in Barcelona can be expensive, but they are widely available. All the cars are black and yellow. The prices start from 1,13 euro per kilometer.

• Cabify: Cabify is a good alternative to taxi. You can book a taxi through their website (cabify.com) or app. There is also a price calculator available. Cabify is usually cheaper than taxi.

• Subway: Subway is one of the best ways to move through the city, although it can be full during peak hours. Barcelona is entwined in metro lines; the city has 11 of them. You can use the same ticket as in the buses.

• RENFE: RENFE is well-connected with the metro line. The main Barcelona station is the Sants station, where you can catch trains to popular coast destinations such as Sitges or cities like Madrid or Sevilla. Some of the closest destinations are available with the basic public transport tickets.
